We're back! 2010 brings our fourth event at Northleach this coming March! We hope even more of you can come and socialise at our event which promises to be our biggest event yet.

What is LeachLAN?
Being a social LAN, LeachLAN 4 is a great place to meet up with friends and chill out over a weekend with some fun, non-competitive gaming. Open up some of the old classics, such as Mid Town Madness 2 and Warcraft 3 - but do not think that more recent games will be left untouched as more recent games such as Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty 4 will also be played. Being on a LAN also allows for a lot of larger games and there is no better experience than taking part in big games like SourceForts, Armagetron or a bit of UT2004 which will be organised throughout the weekend.

For the competitive gamer there will also be a number of tournaments, where you can play against fellow attendees for the chance of LAN Glory. You could also win a few prizes along the way! The tournaments will be chosen by attendees of the event using our usual polling system on the forums to ensure you get the games you would like to play!

On the social side of things, there will be a FREE BBQ, the return of the PUB QUIZ and the opportunity to test out your backstabbing skills in our weekend long game of assassination! You also have the chance to win some new hardware in our raffle. Or you can chillout with your mates in in our social gaming area. There will also be many more opportunities to socialise with fellow gamers over the weekend!

Where is it?
LeachLAN 4 is to be held at the Westwoods Centre in the town of Northleach in the county of Gloucestershire. Conveniently located on 2 trunk roads (the A40 and A429) which connect the M5 and M4, less than 30 minutes drive from Gloucester, Oxford, Cheltenham and Swindon. For those who are unable to get transport by car, there are rail services in the nearby towns of Moreton-In-Marsh and Kemble, both of which have direct bus services (Number 855) to Northleach.

Inside the town of Northleach is a small, but well stocked Londis, a baker, a Cantonese style take away & Chip Shop, and a cafe for those LAN fry ups. For the more discerning sleeper, there are also a number of Bed and Breakfasts a short drive away, or 2 Travelodge's within 15 minutes drive.  The closest supermarket is the Co-Op in Bourton-on-the-water, which is a short 10 minutes drive from the LAN.

The event itself costs £35 for a BYOC space if you book before 1st November, and will be £40 thereafter

So, It's been a while... We might have been enjoying our time off a little bit too much! With the 100 days until LeachLAN 4 milestone fast approaching, it’s time to get down to business!

We’ve been a little busy lately, and so we have a couple of quick updates for you!

We’ve just re launched our game nights, the first of which is on the 9th December @ 8PM.  More details can be found here. Right now, TF2 seems to be a clear winner, but this could all change!

Finally, a quick staff announcement! We are looking to recruit a dedicated “Night Team” for our events. Details on the roles available and how to apply can be found here
